Strangely enough, they seemed to have some details about my old card, though it wasn't current. When they began urging me for my complete card number, I stood my ground and declined to provide the full 16 digits. They were quite persistent, but I managed to tell them I was occupied and promptly ended the conversation.

Received a call claiming they were addressing spam calls and offered me some sort of scheme to block all but essential contacts, like family, dentists, and hospitals. They insisted that they wouldn't require any financial information, yet promptly asked for my debit card number and its expiry date. I firmly declined and voiced my discomfort. As soon as I ended the call, they immediately rang me back, but I just hung up once more and then swiftly blocked their number. Oddly enough, they mentioned these offers were exclusively for pensioners, which I certainly am not, yet they still tried to push this dubious deal my way. I'm immensely relieved I decided to cut the conversation short!

I reckon these annoying cold calls are all coming from the same place, a call centre or something. I get calls almost every day from numbers that look really similar. I got a call on my landline from an automated voicemail pretending to be some UK international life survey firm. Heard exactly the same message on other numbers across various regions too. Definitely seems like a scam to me, fingers crossed they get busted soon.
