A bloke named Alex rang me claiming he was with Medical Alerts from Dorset. He had that posh kind of voice you get with middle class folks. Without any introduction, he asked if I was over 50, which I told him I was. Then he went on to ask if I used a cane or a rollator. I was like, “Who’s this? What’s this about? And why call me out of the blue?” Suddenly he said, “Oh, never mind,” and just hung up on me. Quite odd, really.

When I pressed him to say exactly where my info came from, he just ended the call on me, which seemed a bit cheeky. Looked up the company online and found one in the States but nothing like it here in the UK. Feels like a total con.
