Got a call yesterday from someone saying he was John at The Driveway Centre. He was checking if I still had a driveway at my place. When I asked which property he meant, he just dropped the call. Funny thing is, there’s a Dorset company with that name listed on Checkatrade, and they’re quite clear that they never do any unsolicited calls.

I listened for a bit but he didn’t come across as trustworthy and when I asked how he got my phone number, he was pretty dodgy with the answers. Eventually, he said he was with some "Residential Green Standards" based in South London - which is odd because I live way out in Medway, Kent. I told him thanks but no thanks and ended the call.
