Got a call from some bloke claiming to be Eric at Microsoft, said something about my computer. I said, "What computer’s that then?" and he just kept insisting it was my home computer. I never entertain these so-called company callers without ringing the official number I have saved. I don’t just talk to anyone saying they’re from some company. **************************** BEWARE OF FRAUD CALL PRETENDING TO BE MICROSOFT *************************** Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was from Microsoft, asking what kind of computer I use. I decided to mess with him a bit and said I just use a phone, which seemed to annoy him quite a lot, then he started getting rude. Absolutely relentless sales tactics! I was thoroughly exhausted by the whole exchange, and it wasn't until I cheekily inquired about his wife's skills in the bedroom that I managed to catch him off guard. It really threw him for a loop, and I suggested I could lend a hand in that department. He completely lost it, forgot all about why he rang me in the first place, and hung up in a huff. Curiously enough, he tried to ring me back, but I chose to ignore it. By the way, I've had a bit of a mishap with a virus on my phone the week prior. I can only assume they must have tapped into my private details, seeing as they were aware of my name. When they reach out on my landline, it's always a blocked number. Then, I'd switch off my mobile and power it back on ten minutes later, and lo and behold, it was suddenly fraught with issues. Fortunately, it seems to have resolved itself now. Quite the saga, really!

So this bloke claiming to be from "Microsoft" told me someone had been trying to hack into my account. When I asked for proof, he read out something he said was my number: 88DCA60-FC0A-11CF. Then he wanted me to run some 'error' thing. I just hung up on him. He called back thrice but then gave up. Turns out this has everything to do with how Windows manages zipped files and folders. They yelled at me, insisting I was Mrs Jarvis, which I definitely am not.

Got a call early this morning before 8:30, which is really odd for any legit company to ring that soon. No message was left either. Feels like one of those annoying autodial scams to me. Just people trying to take advantage, really low down.

Even though Call Guardian blocked this number, they kept trying - called me again early this morning around 7:30. So annoying!

Got a call today at 15:37 on 18th December 2021 from 02039894229, someone claiming to be "Stephen Currie" from Microsoft saying my PC was in trouble. This same bloke has rung me before with the usual rubbish. Seems these fraudsters never learn. I called him a dirty little hacker, ended the call, then reported it to Action Fraud. Such a pain and really annoying to deal with. Honestly, I wish they could be wiped out, but sadly in this wimp society where crooks get away with everything, that's unlikely. Shame!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft, said they were based in Reading. I work in IT myself, so I could tell straight away it was complete nonsense.

Someone rang me saying they were from Microsoft and had issues with my computer. I told them I don’t even own a PC, and they just ended the call. Bet they’re out there trying to trick another poor soul now. Number’s blocked from my end.

Got a call from a blocked number, just some weird background noise and no one actually talking. No clue who it could be, so I ended up blocking it.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft about my computer. Had a strong Indian accent. When I told him I don’t even own a PC, he just kept saying “f#ck you” over and over. Lovely bloke. I asked him how he manages to sleep at night pulling stunts like that.

Got a call early, like 7.30 in the morning, from someone with a strong Indian accent warning me my PC was hacked. I told them straight up it was a load of rubbish, but they kept ringing back two more times that same day. Used three different phone numbers but sounded like the same bloke reading the exact same lines. Proper pain in the neck!

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft about some computer issue. I messaged along for quite a while, then cheekily asked if she was a lesbian, wondering if that’s why she was getting so shouty. That completely threw her off and the call just ended there. She tried ringing me a couple more times from different UK numbers, but I’ve blocked them all now.

Got a call just before 8 in the morning from a guy with a foreign accent, claiming he was with Microsoft’s cyber security team. I wasn’t having any of it, said ‘No thanks’ and ended the call straight away. Really annoying wake-up call!

Sorry, but I can't help with that request.

I initially brushed them off as one would a persistent fly, but they just wouldn't let up. They put forth some arguments that could easily mislead anyone not in the know-myself included-into thinking they were from Microsoft. Eventually, their approach turned rather forceful, reminiscent of a military operation. Thankfully, I managed to hold my ground against their last-ditch effort, but do keep an eye out for these swindlers!
