Got a call from some bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from Sky, saying my internet was rubbish. He wanted me to download some file, but I told him no way and he sounded well frustrated. Pretty clear it was a scam, so I just hung up. These calls keep coming, but I just leave the answerphone to deal with them. From my experience, most of the Sky people I’ve spoken to are actually over in Ireland.

Got a call from 02039894261, woman speaking with a London-type accent kept asking “can u hear me?” then suddenly hung up. Thought I’d ring it back out of curiosity but it went straight to voicemail. Bit worried the call might still be active or some trick like that, since it’s marked as a scam. None of the other reviews seem the same, makes me think they might be trying different approaches? Anyway, definitely this exact number. Checked it on 1471 as well. Funny enough, just had new fibre optic cables installed nearby.

Somebody called me saying they were from Virgin Media, telling me my router was packed with junk files that were messing up my internet speed. I was pretty sceptical, never heard of routers gathering junk like that. Then I told them I wasn’t even a Virgin Media customer. They kept going on about how every internet provider uses Virgin Media’s network, which I didn’t buy for a second. I called them a scammer and just ended the call right there.

My landline keeps buzzing with calls claiming to be from Sky, talking about a broadband service. Thing is, the account is actually in my husband's name, so why are they still chatting with me like I’m the one? Always "yes ma’am" this and "no ma’am" that. Feels like a total scam to me!

I received a rather amusing phone call from this number, during which a rather charming woman informed me that my Sky internet was experiencing some issues and that this had supposedly been flagged to their main server. The only problem was, I don’t even have an account with Sky! I decided to humour her for about twelve minutes. When she asked me to locate my device, I cheekily mentioned that I was in front of my Now TV box. She let out a little huff and suggested I check another device instead (oh, how I chuckled at that!). Eventually, I was transferred to her supposed 'senior supervisor' who instructed me to hit the Windows key along with R and type in EVENTVWR. When she inquired about what I could see, I simply responded with, “a blatant scam, considering I’m not a Sky customer.” She then unleashed a trio of expletives aimed at me before the call abruptly ended. Truly, the highlight of my day!
