This bloke said he was Michael from Microsoft, had a strong Indian accent and sounded like he was just reading off a script. I have to admit, he was quite smooth with his lines, but not enough to make me think he wasn’t just following a script. First thing he asked was if I was the main person using the computer, then went on about how they found loads of errors on my PC. I told him he was doing a decent job reading the script but there was no way he worked for Microsoft. He got quite defensive and denied it outright. I just laughed it off and he ended the call.

Got a call on 12th Jan 2022 from someone named Donna saying she was from Microsoft. She wanted to talk to a family member who knows nothing about computers and certainly isn't registered with Microsoft. It was obvious a scam attempt. I just ended the call and blocked the number, though I’m sure they’ll try again using a different phone. Honestly, I wish there was a way to stop these fraudsters for good. Makes you wonder how they manage to live with themselves.

Got two calls earlier today, first one was at 8 in the morning and the guy said he was from Microsoft, I just ended the call right away. Then he rang back, so I did the same and hung up again. Later on, he called once more and was telling me he was gonna block my computer and cancel my licence or something. I told him I’d report him to the police and then I cut the call.

This is the third time some woman claiming to be from Microsoft has phoned my 91 year old mum, who ain’t got a PC. The caller was Indian and called her twice, once two days ago and then again today at about half past seven in the morning. When my mum said she doesn’t own a computer, the woman actually accused her of lying! Luckily, my mum’s pretty clued up about these scams and cut her off pretty quickly. If you get a call from any Indian woman saying she’s from Microsoft, just ignore it. She’s definitely a scammer and uses different numbers each time she rings.

I keep receiving calls from this number, alleging that my Microsoft software has been hacked. The thing is, I don’t even use Microsoft! It’s always the same scenario: the background noise suggests it’s some sort of call centre, with multiple voices chatting away. I operate a small floral design business and received a phone call from this number earlier today. The caller requested a flower delivery to a local village. Initially, I assumed it was a legitimate inquiry, but they seemed a bit bewildered when I mentioned that I wasn't available today but could assist them tomorrow. My curiosity led me to investigate the number, thinking it could be a London florist in search of a partner florist for an Interflora-style arrangement. Never imagined it would turn out to be a hoax! Fortunately, my unavailability put a stop to it all.

I received a rather dubious call allegedly from Microsoft, claiming my computer was sending out harmful notifications. The woman on the line insisted she could assist me in resolving the issue, but first she rattled off a series of numbers I needed to note down. Strangely enough, she had my full name and address too. When I requested that she send me the details in writing, her tone shifted dramatically. She became quite hostile, questioning whether I thought a letter would resolve my computer issues, and even challenged me by asking if I was a Microsoft engineer like her. Naturally, I decided to end the call, but to my astonishment, they attempted to reach me a further five times. The caller was exceedingly aggressive, particularly when I didn’t comply with her demands.

Got calls from 02039894205 twice today, bit odd since they normally use different numbers every time they ring. Didn’t pick up, let it go to answerphone like I always do with numbers I don’t know. They left a voicemail, which I don’t usually get from these, but it was the same old scam message pretending to be from Microsoft "regarding your computer, alright?" Proper dodgy stuff, best to not get involved with these lot at all.

I got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft and that my computer was being hacked. I told them the only hackers I’ve seen are the callers, been getting these sorts of scams for over a decade. Then she just ended the call.

Got a call from a London area code, and honestly, the only person I can think of there is the Queen herself. Maybe it’s Boris trying to say sorry? Who knows!

Got a call this morning at 7am and it totally ruined my lie-in. Didn’t leave any voicemail either. After reading other people’s experiences, I’m glad I didn’t pick up.

At first, there was an unexpected silence before a woman’s voice came through. It sounded like she might be from an Asian background. She firmly declared that she’d called the right number, claiming she was trying to reach Robert Porter. I reiterated that she had made a mistake and that this wasn’t the number she wanted. After that, I decided to end the call.

After getting calls back to back from 02039893362 and 02394311992, this was the third one in a row. I had someone else pick up my phone and I’m pretty sure the person on the other end just hung up right away this time.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft and that my PC had issues even though it wasn't even turned on. I told them I’m actually a Microsoft Certified Professional and then they suddenly asked for my Microsoft ID.
