6 yearsI wasn’t familiar with the number, so I didn’t pick up. Later, I got a voicemail from someone claiming to be Officer Denise Gray from HMCS, saying it was really urgent to call back on the number provided. I rang the number, and a man with an Indian accent asked for my name before abruptly hanging up. Since then, I’ve called several times but got nothing. After a pause, it just tells me to leave a message.Denise GrayHMCS6 yearsSomebody rang up claiming I urgently need a solicitor for a problem with HM Customs and Revenue. Absolutely ridiculous. They cant even get basic English right, let alone automate it properly haha!HM Revenue and Customs6 yearsI rang them back out of curiosity and some one picked up saying, "HMRC, good afternoon"...and it was still the morning here! You could hear loads of noise like in a call centre abroad. They asked for my name and address, then suddenly cut off when I asked why a gov agency would need that info if they’re the ones calling me... pretty fishy.HMRC6 yearsGot a ridiculous voicemail from someone pretending to be HMRC.
