somebody named dennis left me a voicemail claiming it was his direct line at hmrc. weird thing is the message doesnt save and its actually a woman’s automated voice. good job i work in telecoms cause i immediately googled the unusual number!

Got a call from someone sounding American, said they were from HMRC and that it was urgent I replied quickly. I just ended the call though.

I got a call from some automated voice speaking with an American accent saying it was HMRC. They told me to ring the number they gave or else I’d be in trouble with the law. I know HMRC wouldn’t get in touch like that, so I assume it’s just a scam trying to scare folks into calling them.
