Got a call saying my washing machine insurance was nearly up. The bloke asked me for my bank info, but I told him you lot should already have it saved. He reckoned they can't keep those details anymore. So I told him he’d need to sort it out with my son. Then he just went quiet and ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from a washing machine cover company. The woman sounded British and said my cover needed renewing. She even knew my name and address! When I asked if it was for a certain brand of washing machine that I definitely don’t own, she said yes straight away. That’s when I realised it was just a scam.

Got a call from some bloke named Josh trying to tell me my washing machine’s extended warranty was running out. Told him straight away I knew it was a scam but he kept pushing. When I asked what sort of washer I had, he said Whirpool - which isn’t even right. Pretty obvious it was a rip-off.

Could this be some kind of scam? I got a message claiming it was from a management firm. It said they can’t speak to me right now (so why call me in the first place?) and asked me to ring back. Is that one of those costly premium numbers? I’m avoiding calling just to be safe.

No idea who that was, they didn't drop a message or anything.

Got a call from someone named Jess, who asked if she was speaking to me and said the warranty on my washing machine at #my address# was nearly up. Thing is, my machine’s six years old and I never paid for any extra warranty. I asked her which brand she was talking about and she said it was from the Whirlpool group. Told her that wasn’t the brand I own, and she just ended the call straight away.

Lately, I've been receiving quite a few calls from the Holyhead Road section in London. They never leave any voicemail or info. I reckon it's a scam.

This woman named Chloe rang me up and actually knew my name and where I lived, claiming she worked for some washing machine insurance firm - something like White Goods Protection UK Ltd, I think. I've never signed up for any insurance on my machine, so when I said I wasn’t interested, she got all annoyed and said I was just wasting her time. I told her no, it was her who was wasting time!

My landline just started ringing and since I only recently got it set up, I didn’t pick up. Thought it seemed a bit odd, so I looked up the number instead. Pretty glad I didn’t actually answer in the end.

So this person rang and kept demanding we verify our address. When we tried finding out who she was, she just wouldn’t tell us and kept pushing for our address again. She even told me to “chill out, love!” which was weird because I was totally calm! We never really got to the point of why she was calling.

Received a rather peculiar phone call regarding the impending expiration of my washing machine's care plan. I promptly informed them that I didn’t even possess such a plan. Then they mentioned that my warranty was nearing its end. I had to clarify that my machine is actually eight years old, so I doubted that was the case. To my surprise, the woman on the line ended the call abruptly. Quite discourteous, if you ask me!

A rather unpleasant individual with an atrocious accent from South London had the audacity to ask for me by name. He then declared I wasn't the person he presumed I was and promptly cut the call. If they dare ring me again, I'm contemplating calling them back with some rather pointed remarks.

Got a call from a friendly woman who said her name was Leah and used my name right away. She mentioned something about my washing machine cover, but honestly, I don’t even have a cover for it. I told her maybe she should find a real job instead. With that kind attitude, she’d probably do well working in social care or something like that.
