I get calls pretty much every week that get automatically blocked. They usually leave a silent voicemail that lasts for a few minutes, just some faint clicking sounds from a computer or something, nothing else.

I made a single donation of £3 after seeing a charity appeal on telly. That seemed fine. They sent me a thank you and asked if I wanted to give regularly, which I said no to because I already donate often elsewhere. Next thing, they started calling me, but I ignored the calls and have now blocked the number. Once you agree to something small, they push for much more. It’s really frustrating and makes it harder for the charities that appreciate one-time donations without hassling you.

Some mental health charity keeps calling saying I asked for some info leaflet but I’ve never done that. They ring 3 or 4 times daily for nearly 3 weeks now! Even after I told them it’s the wrong number, the bloke wouldn’t stop trying to chat and push about their charity. I just had to end the call and block them.

I said they already had it since I get emails from prostate cancer research directly. Then they asked if I wanted to be contacted by post, which they already do, then by phone and stuff. The person said they worked for a company hired by prostate cancer to annoy their donors. I’ll keep giving what I normally do but I hope the charity realises this approach is pretty off-putting.

If I figure out who handed over my number, I swear I'm reporting them to the Information Commissioner's Office. I'd say anyone who suspects their info’s been shared without consent should keep contacting the ICO nonstop. Only when the government steps in and bans these calls without a proper, physical signature will this nonsense stop. Electronic approvals aren’t enough - need a real handwritten signature to be legal.

This number is from Prostate Cancer UK, they give it when you sign up for a pin on Facebook. They call to check your info, but they keep ringing me at work even tho I told them to phone after hours or on a weekend. They still call me like twice every day while I'm working and it's getting really annoying now!

They kept ringin' me over and over but i kept ignorin' it. Finally got annoyed and picked up, and it was one of them "we heard you had a crash" scams. Told 'em off proper through the phone. Felt loads better after that, then i just blocked the number on my mobile.
