A few months back my missus ordered a free booklet, and since about April, we’ve been getting phone calls automated, usually one every day. On the 9th of May, I decided to ring 03330 110023, which is meant to be a system to stop these calls, linked to Diabetes UK. I’ll wait and see over the next day if it actually does the job.

Got a call from this number around 6.40pm on Tuesday 23 June. The person on the other end claimed I’d filled in a Daily Express form to get a free pedometer. They then asked me to donate money - first £12, then when I refused, £6, and even when I said no again, they tried for £1. It all felt a bit dodgy to me, like they were fishing for my bank info, but luckily I didn’t give them anything.
