I had a right peculiar experience with a chap on the phone who introduced himself as David. He had a thick accent that was quite difficult to place. He insisted he was ringing from some sort of department dedicated to blocking calls. He pitched himself as a way to help me dodge all those pesky telemarketers and unwanted ring-a-dings. Quite the odd encounter, to say the least!
