Beware, they claim they can stop annoying calls but they’re just trying to rip you off. I already got tricked and ended up losing £82. It’s a total scam!

Somebody with no name called me, trying to sell some device to stop nuisance calls. Funny thing is, they said my calls haven’t gone up - now it’s way worse!

I got a missed call from this number on my house phone a couple days back and honestly, I have no clue who they were. Since it appeared to be a UK landline, I thought I’d ring it back thinking it wouldn’t cost me anything. But when I tried, the number wasn’t showing up as valid or something like that. Quite odd!

Just got another call from those lot who say they can put a stop to all cold calls for £89.00. This is the last time I’m taking it, I’m thinking up a bit of payback they won’t enjoy!

So today I got a call asking for £89 to put an end to annoying calls. My mum picked up and got a bit suspicious, told them no, and they just cut off. We'd already been getting tons of cold calls for ages, so it's clear it's the same lot trying to mess with you until you pay up. Proper scam, watch out!

This was clearly a scam, and luckily I didn’t get tricked, but how on earth did they get hold of my phone number and address? Totally suspicious.

Got a call asking for £89 to stop annoying calls and they wanted my credit card details before they’d even send me any paperwork. I said no thanks.

got a call today, they asked if we were still bothered by nuisance calls. apparently they had a word with my husband sometime this week. they reckoned for just £89 they could put an end to the nuisance calls. really? is that okay? not on your life! i’m not shelling out £89, doesn’t matter if it’s every month, three months or yearly.

My partner's nana almost got caught up in a scam by these lot, but thankfully my partner stepped in just in time. Honestly, they’re not a genuine business, so be careful and don’t let yourself be fooled.

Today, 8/11/2017, I got a call from a woman saying my nuisance call protection had been updated. I was confused because I get loads of these calls already. She claimed I signed up for this service back in 2004 and paid £89 for it. I told her I don't remember that at all and would never spend that kind of money! Then she said there’s no update fee as I’m covered for life. I asked her to send me details because I’m sure I never agreed to that payment, maybe it was taken without permission. Suddenly, the line went dead! I tried calling back but no one answered and the tone was weird. They didn’t even say their company name at the start - classic scammer stuff. Is it even possible to check bank transactions from way back in 2004? This whole thing feels dodgy. Does anyone know how to deal with this and maybe stop these scammers? So many people must be getting ripped off! Dawn from St Helens.

Definitely felt a bit off!

Got a ring from some woman earlier, but I told her straight up that this "service" is rubbish since I’m constantly getting cold calls, and she sounded like one of those. She got pretty annoyed, so I just told her to jog on. After reading other people’s reviews, I’m glad I didn’t trust her - it’s a proper scam. My advice? Just give her the evils! She did have a bit of info that made her sound legit, but I wasn’t falling for it. We’ve had so many dodgy calls now that I don’t trust a soul. Best to never hand over any details on the phone, full stop.

I managed to shake off a kindly lady who gave me some ancient password. Bit of a relief actually!

I just had a call from this number. The lady on the phone was really polite and seemed to mention a password only I would recognise. She told me we’d spoken back in 2014 about stopping annoying calls, and if I paid £82 today, she'd make sure my name and phone number got wiped from every list. Thankfully, as soon as I ended the call, I cancelled my debit card straight away. Be careful and don’t fall for it!

This number from ‘block calls uk’ just rang me, saying they’d reached out back in 2014 and gave me a password only I’d know. They claimed the £82 charge was the final payment needed to take my phone off loads of unwanted data lists, so I went ahead and paid. Only now do I see it was a con. It’s so frustrating, when will these scammers be stopped for good? They’ve called again asking for someone else, and when I asked why they were phoning me again, they just cut me off.

She sounded so believable, I can't believe I actually got tricked by her.

Got a call from this number just now, like others mentioned, they were trying to convince me to pay some kind of final fee for a call blocking service. When I told them to remove me from their list, they suddenly offered to lower the price if it was too high! The lady sounded polite and friendly, but honestly, it feels like a scam to me.

So, there’s this outfit named ‘Block Calls UK’ or something like that, they keep ringing up saying you’re already tied into a contract with them. Then they try and sell you a service to block annoying calls for about £80 a year. They’ve been bothering me for ages, and I reckon it’s a scam because it seems like they’re the ones behind the annoying calls in the first place. Makes sense why the calls stop once you cough up the money, it’s all a con.

I got a call from this number and it turns out they're a bunch of scammers pushing some call filtering thing for annoying calls. The weird part is, they're also the ones behind these annoying calls to begin with. So, seriously, don’t fall for it!

They call up sayin you’ve already paid somethin and now you just owe 80 quid, but what they're really after is your bank info.
