I listed my cousin’s car on Gumtree using my number. Within minutes, I got calls from about seven different phone lines, all claiming there was an accident. They kept insisting I was involved somehow. When I told them I didn’t even own a car, they tried saying maybe I was a passenger. Then when I denied that too, they’d try to say maybe someone in my family was in an accident. It felt like some proper scam or something, really strange.

SCAM ALERT... got a call from a lady who barely spoke English properly, said I’d won some EuroMillions thing or whatever. This was a total scam! Got a call from a woman who didn’t speak much English properly, telling me I’d somehow won a EuroMillions lottery. She said they’d give me 10 free lines for three months, then 100 lines after that. All I had to do was confirm my details, like my date of birth and bank info. And get this - when I won the jackpot, all she asked for was a bottle of wine and some chocolates. Yeah, right! Didn’t fall for it and blocked the number straight away.

This afternoon I had a call from a lady with a Polish accent who was really pushy and kept cutting me off. She wanted me to listen to her entire spiel, but I told her if she let me get a word in, maybe I'd have kept listening. Then I just ended the call and blocked her number straight away!

Got a call from this number that kept buzzing my phone. I had no clue who it was, so I checked it on here. After a few more rings, I just told them to piss off. Honestly, if you want to know who rang you, it might be because you signed up on this site, maybe down at the bottom of the page somewhere... It says it’s a free system, no cost. It might be a scammer, or maybe it’s legit, hard to say... You never really can be sure. Anyway, there’s a way to check for yourself - just create a separate account from your usual one and have a go. If it works out, great, you got your answer. If not, no harm done, you didn’t lose anything, just gained a bit of experience.
