This morning, I had a phone call that left me quite bewildered. A chap on the line pitched an investment scheme that promised ludicrously high returns, claiming to be a broker of some sort. I promptly informed him that I solely work with my trustworthy broker from a well-established company. To keep myself alert, I promptly labelled his number as "scam alert" for future reference.

Caller never gave any info, I told them to stop calling and take my number off their list. Then suddenly they started messing about, saying stuff like "let me try a different approach". I received a call where they inquired whether I’m a plumber-true enough, that’s my line of work. They had my name, which was quite peculiar. The whole thing felt like it was coming from some sort of call centre, yet the individual on the other end didn’t seem all that sharp. Quite an odd experience, to say the least!
