Got a call from someone claiming to be with Sky, asked for my bank details - sounded like a total scam to me. I don’t even have their breakdown cover or anything, so definitely dodgy.

I really can’t fathom how these persistent cold callers manage to continue their antics. It’s quite distressing for me, as I struggle with quite a bit of anxiety and depression already. The last thing I need is this added stress in my life! Because of this, I’ve made a firm rule: if the number isn’t saved in my contacts, my phone stays silent.

some guy called john, sounded like he had an accent, rang to say our sky insurance needed renewing. he asked if our gear was alright. i wanted him to prove who he was, he just said he could tell me our policy number and i could check it against our papers. i said we needed time to decide but he kept pushing for us to pay now to keep our "warranty" going. when i said to send the info by email (figured if he was legit he'd have our email), he just hung up on me. what a muppet!

Received a phone call from a guy with a strange accent, claiming my Sky insurance had expired and they wanted to lower my payments. Told him I wasn’t really up for that sort of thing and then just ended the call.
