Got a call from 02037690108 on 17/08/20 around 10:30am about Sky. I told them I don’t have Sky and asked who they were and their number. It’s mad how these scam calls keep coming through - feels like there’s no one in charge trying to stop this nonsense.

Just got a call from these jokers AGAIN, and it’s only the second time today! When I told them I’d report them, they actually said they’d leave the line open while I ring the cops. What a load of rubbish! Leaving the line open just means they’re still there, pretending. Hope no one gets fooled by this dodgy trick.

I’ve got so many of these numbers calling me, I just don’t bother picking up anymore. Still, it’s such a pain and wastes a lot of my time. Honestly, someone should find a way to stop these calls for good - they seriously need to be tracked and stopped.

The best way to throw a scammer off is by asking them for their company’s registration and VAT numbers. Legit businesses will gladly provide those details since you can just check them online. When you do this, you'll notice how quickly they start dodging your questions and getting all rude and shouty. It's almost like they haven't got anything real to back themselves up with!

Yesterday and this morning, a man with an Asian accent kept ringing our home number (12th and 13th August). Like others here have said, he said he was from Sky maintenance and told us our breakdown cover had ended. He said he could sort us out with a fantastic deal right over the phone. Got a call from someone with an Asian accent pushing some Sky Maintenance deal, which felt totally dodgy. He tried to offer me a cheaper plan, but I told him I already had a better deal. Then he asked if the second word in it was “Off”, I just said yes and hung up.

Grew up near a bunch of lovely Indian folks so knew their curses well enough, had a bit of fun throwing them back at him! Got a phonecall from a guy with an asian accent who was chuckling and trying not to laugh, then asked if I was Robert Bonpret and laughed again. This number has called us loads of times, and my mum and dad are both in their nineties. Usually, it’s some nonsense about insuring Sky gear or warning that our internet will be cut off. But this is the first time it’s been a man who sounds like he’s having a laugh. If anyone working in these call centres sees this, you really ought to feel bad for pestering old folks like that.

A bloke with a foreign accent rang me claiming he was calling from Sky. He said something about my Sky equipment cover needing to be renewed soon. When I asked him exactly what cover he meant and which gear he was talking about, he didn’t seem to appreciate the questions and just hung up on me.

My dad, who’s quite old, answered the call and they were telling him his Sky box cover had run out, which he confirmed. I didn’t get a chance to pick it up properly, but while I was coming to the phone, I clearly heard the bloke tell my dad to "bugger off" - absolutely shocking. I’m keen to find out who these people are so I can file a complaint. Also, if you ring them back, don’t expect to get a company name, it just says the line’s busy.

got a call from some bloke called joseph saying he was with sky protection and my cover was about to run out. he said i was paying £11.99 every month but offered to cut it down if i paid for two years all at once via card. when i burst out laughing, he just went ahead and called me a f****** idiot. watch out everyone, this is just another scammer ringing around!
