I've been getting hit with a charge of £4.50 weekly for the past four months, all stemming from what I allegedly signed up for-a Morrisons gift card. The issue is compounded by the fact that I've got a nuisance call blocker on my phone, so I totally missed the texts they supposedly sent. Even when I lifted the block, I didn't receive any messages but the charges continued to roll in. Admittedly, I haven't been keeping a close eye on my bills with everything going on in my life. My phone provider has now put a stop to any future texts, but this dodgy outfit is adamantly refusing to refund me. Looks like my next move will be to escalate this to the ombudsman.

I noticed an unexpected charge of £15 on my previous bill, followed by an extra £4.50 on the latest one. After reaching out to my provider, they advised me to send a STOP message, which I promptly did. Despite this, I received yet another text today. I haven’t signed up for any services and shouldn’t be footing the bill for these unwelcome messages. This seems like a scam that really ought to be addressed.

It seems we're all caught in this scam, aren't we? What actions have been taken to address this issue? While it's rather unhelpful to just exchange stories of being conned, I'm curious to know what steps anyone is actually taking to tackle the problem.

We've been hit with a charge of £4.62, and I’m baffled because we never took part in any competition nor had any intention to do so. How is this allowed? It surely feels like a case of fraud to me!

I've encountered a similar issue with these con artists; every time I attempted to send a text to quit, it simply didn't work, and they kept billing me. I reached out to my O2 provider, and they were incredibly helpful in guiding me through the process of unsubscribing. It's astonishing that these individuals are allowed to continue their deceitful practices, robbing so many unsuspecting people of their hard-earned cash.

I was under the impression that this was a competition associated with Morrisons. There was no indication of any charges involved. After I submitted my mobile number, I got a text claiming there would be a £4.50 weekly fee unless I sent “Stop” to 60061. I promptly did just that, yet I've still been hit with a £4.50 charge along with an additional 12p just to cancel!

I found myself with a hefty deduction from my phone credit balance, and it wasn't small change. In the end, I decided to switch my number entirely. It all stemmed from my own desire for more, and I suppose that's what you get for being a bit too avaricious.

It's rather audacious to charge for entry into a competition, don’t you think? How very cheeky indeed!

I received an email telling me I had won a Tesco gift card, followed by a text message. I promptly replied with 'STOP' to 60061 and got a reply confirming my unsubscription. However, shortly after, I got another text indicating I had somehow signed up for Appiq at a charge of £4.50 a week until I sent 'STOP' to 60061. I tried sending 'STOP' yet again, but all I’m getting back is a message saying 'error'. I'm rather perplexed about what steps to take next!

I’ve found that they’ve begun billing me for premium services on my phone without any prior consent. The number showing up on my mobile statement is 60061. Make sure you send a text with the word STOP right away as soon as you get a message from them!

I've noticed that a total of £63.00 has been deducted from my mobile account by this number. After verifying with my bank, they've confirmed it’s definitely a scam! Be cautious, everyone!

I’ve noticed some unexpected deductions from my mobile account, quite alarming really! I only stumbled upon this while poring over my latest itemised bill. O2 were fairly decent when I reached out for help, but one of their other representatives-seemed to be from abroad-was utterly unhelpful, insisting it wasn’t a scam and threatened to withhold any credits if I continued to claim it was. In the end, I managed to find a way to put a stop to it. Turns out it was some “gaming company” trying to charge me for access to mobile games. At nearly 80 years of age, I can assure you, I have absolutely no interest in mobile gaming. What nonsense!

I've recently discovered that £4 is being deducted weekly from my mobile credit. I was informed that by texting 'stop', I would be able to cancel this, which I promptly did. However, upon checking, my balance has plummeted to a mere £2 - absolutely outrageous! I tried expressing my frustration to them, but all I got in return was an error message. Unbelievable!

Could anyone tell me to whom this number is linked? Cheers!
