Not sure who it was, just silence. I keep getting these types of calls from different numbers as well. I just ignore them now and block straight away. The problem is sometimes important calls come through and I end up hanging up on those too, which is really frustrating.

Got a call from someone claiming my recent Windows update was causing problems and sending error reports to Microsoft. They wanted me to log onto my computer so they could sort it out. I told them if I saw any errors myself, I'd be taking the PC to a proper technician, not letting some random person try to fix it over the phone. They hung up just as I said the word 'fixing' - classic!

“Windows” I know just enough about computers to mess with these callers and kill some time for a laugh when I’m bored, it’s pretty entertaining. But for older folks who aren’t too good with tech, watch out - they often try to trick you into giving remote access to your computer and then get hold of personal stuff like your bank info, emails and PayPal details saved in your browser passwords.

When I get calls from "Windows" I've learned just enough about computers to mess around and keep them hanging when I'm bored, which can be quite entertaining. But honestly, if you're older or not great with tech, be very cautious. These callers often try to trick you into letting them control your computer remotely, which can lead to them stealing personal stuff like your bank info, email, or PayPal details saved in your browser passwords.

Got a call from 02034098557, some guy called Nathan with a Pakistani/Indian accent - no surprise with such a common name. He claimed to be from Microsoft Tech Support, saying my router had reported issues with my computer/Windows and they could sort it out. He asked if I was having any problems (I actually was, but I denied it), then told me to switch the computer on - which it already was. Then he asked what I could see on the screen - I said normal - and if I could press ctrl & fn keys. When I said that sounded like he wanted remote access, he just hung up!

020 3409 8557 - Got a call from someone pretending to be Microsoft support, total scam. Best thing is just to hang up or if you want, keep them chatting to waste their time. If you're not sure, just cut the call and ring Microsoft yourself to check. Stay careful!

They just rang me up. Loads of noise in the background. Took ages for someone with an Indian accent to finally say hello. Was clear it wasn't a person dialling but some automated system. Pretty sure it's a scam. Ended the call and blocked the number.

Got a call from 02034098557 claiming he was with Microsoft and that my computer was sending suspicious messages to their centre. He spoke with a strong foreign accent. I thanked him for letting me know and said I’d have a trusted person check it out. He kept saying I should trust him since he was from Microsoft and knew exactly what to do! I just ended the call.

SCAM alert. A woman said she was calling from Windows, but she had no clue Windows is a product, not a company. I messed around with her for like 20 minutes before dropping “oh btw I got an Apple” and she actually thought I meant the fruit lol. So funny. Seriously, where do they recruit these people from?

Got a call from a guy with a bit of an accent, claiming he was from Microsoft. In the background you could hear loads of people talking, like a busy call centre. He told me there’d been a bunch of error messages coming from my computer recently. I told him my IT team handles all that and I’d have them check it out. He said alright then and hung up nicely. I made sure to block the number afterwards.

Got a call claiming to be about Windows error reports, but that couldn’t be right since the number they rang was my work mobile, which isn’t linked to any of my computers or me personally. Told them my system doesn’t run on Windows and they just cut me off. Definitely a scam trying to fish for info. I’ve seen this number pop up loads of times and when you call back, there’s an automated message from something like 3Care Solution or Three Care Solution. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

They’re still using that tired line about ‘your Windows computer is infected with a virus’ and pretending to be some sort of Microsoft whizz who can sort it out for you. Yeah right, just hand over control of your PC and next thing you know, your bank balance is wiped clean! Honestly, these scammers need to get a new act, this one’s so overused it’s laughable.

Got a call from a bloke with a weird accent claiming to be from Windows. He said my computer was infected and they could fix it without charging me. I said my PC is fine, no issues at all, and then he just hung up on me. Total scam, watch out!

Caught something like this on the telly not long ago. They say you can log into your PC and get access to all their stuff. Wouldn't it be great to track these awful lot down and teach them a lesson? Such nasty people.
