We used to get persistent calls from this number, consistently inquiring for a chap named Mr Watson (which isn’t the name we go by). They simply won’t take no for an answer and keep calling back. We’ve had enough, so we’ve finally decided to block them.

I received a rather dubious phone call from someone purporting to be from Microsoft. They went on about how my computer was apparently operating at a snail's pace and suggested some alterations I should make. However, when I politely asked for an email confirmation to verify his identity, he promptly disconnected the line. Quite suspicious, wouldn't you say?

Today my UK phone got 6 missed calls from 0203 4098532. After looking up the number here, I now know exactly what to do if I ever answer it. I’ve been getting those “Hello, this is Microsoft, we’ve detected errors on your PC” calls for ages, so I’ve gotten pretty good at telling them to “buzz off” in loads of different ways and languages!

Got a call from a firm yesterday claiming they were from BT, saying my internet was running slow. They wanted me to open my phone or computer so they could prove it. They asked what phone I had, but I said I wasn’t comfortable sharing that info. They just hung up. They rang back today but I blocked the number. Watch out, this feels like a scam.

Today, I received a rather suspicious call from an individual claiming to be a BT technician. He mentioned that there was an issue with my broadband connection, suggesting it had been somehow breached. He insisted they could rectify the situation, but only if they were granted access to my computer. I urge everyone to be vigilant; the individuals behind this number are likely adept at scamming. Please refrain from sharing any personal details with them!

He told me my PC was dragging and asked me to input something to prove how badly it was running so he could fix it. I asked for his email straight away, but he said he’d give it at the end of the chat. I insisted on having it then. Next, he told me to turn my computer on, but I told him it was already on and asked how he didn’t know that since he said it was slow. After that, he just cut me off.
