I noticed that tiny pause you get with these calls. Before they said anything I went, “Can I talk to the business owner?” The woman on the line chuckled and shot back, “Are you the business owner?” I said, “Is that you then?” She laughed again so I told her, “Just buzz off, you scammer,” and hung up. Better to mess with them than let them mess with you.

When I called back, an automated system for the 'UK Trade Register' comes up, but it asks you to choose an option and then doesn’t give you any to pick from. Best to steer clear of this one.

I’ve been receiving persistent calls from individuals claiming to represent the UK Trade Register, all from different iterations of the 020 3409 ... series. Each time the phone rings, I let them know that I’m currently unwell (and it’s not exactly improving!), only to block the number subsequently. However, they seem remarkably uninterested in taking the hint. Today, I found myself on the receiving end of a particularly frustrating conversation where the caller just bulldozed over my attempts to communicate, disregarding my requests to cease contact. In the end, I had no choice but to hang up in despair. Surely there has to be a way to put a stop to this relentless harassment? It’s becoming quite unbearable!
