answered the call and there was just quiet on the line. So I began humming that classic tune from The Searchers, 'silence is golden'. Next thing I know, the line goes dead - guess my singing skills scared them off! Didn't realise I was that awful.

I got a call from an Asian guy saying he was from Yell, asking all sorts of "research" questions about my online presence. Then he said he’d pass me to someone else to arrange a deal to put my details in their tradefinder directory. I just ended the call there. He phoned back saying the call was dropped, so I hung up again. Later, I rang the number myself and got a recorded message about the UK trades register, but there was no option to choose anything. Seems like a scam, but not sure what they’re after exactly.

Got a call today from a London number, which was odd since I no longer live there and hardly get calls from that area on my mobile. I could hear what sounded like a busy office or call centre in the background. I figured it could be a recruitment agency as I’ve been job hunting. When I said hello, the caller said hello back. Then I asked who was calling, and they just ended the call straight away! Blocked them immediately.
