Got a call from 020339669814, they said they were from HMRC - total scam! After the call, I got a couple of voicemails and even a text, all coming from that same number. Really annoying and can be quite risky if you don’t know it’s a trick.

I got a call from someone saying they were with "HM Customs and Excise," warning me about an unpaid debt and that there's a warrant out in my name - although they never mentioned what name exactly. Felt dodgy to me, especially since they didn’t say anything specific. They rang me three times on the same day (7 Feb), but I ignored the last two after picking up the first. Definitely seems like a scam.

I received around five or six voicemails threatening me with legal action and stating an arrest warrant has been issued by HMRC in connection to 'my name' (which they didn’t specify). They kept urging me to hit 1 if I wanted to chat with a case officer. I was out each time, so I didn’t feel inclined to answer any of them. I’ve flagged it as phishing to HMRC.

I got a call that seemed dodgy, so left a message the second time. Turns out it was one of those HMRC scam calls. I already told HMRC about the first call through their website - there’s a section for phishing where you can report stuff. They actually replied with advice on how to handle these scammy calls. Definitely make sure to report these numbers, we need to stop these scammers from preying on people!

Like many others have said, this is so annoying. It feels like there’s a persistent scammer out there targeting people who might be easy to fool. They keep ringing and leaving messages nonstop, all day long. Luckily, I’ve got caller ID, so I’ve managed to avoid dealing with these dodgy callers and I’m not going to fall for their tricks!

I've had this number ring my landline about half a dozen times, but it never actually got through, thankfully. Seems like these dodgy scammers are running some sort of con, as I've also been getting emails over the past week claiming HMRC owes me a tax refund. It's odd because I use the same provider for both my email and landline - makes me wonder if someone's hacked into their system?

I logged my first call today around 1pm, and after that, I kept getting them about every hour until around 5.30pm - a total of four more. All the calls were the same story - some fake tax stuff, threats about an arrest warrant, and urging me to get in touch straight away. I ignored the first one and just didn’t pick up after that. Fingers crossed they’ve stopped now, haven’t had any calls since 5.30pm.

Got a call round 11:40 on 7th Feb 2020, somewhere near Harrogate. It was that same robotic American voice telling me to press 1 or whatever. I just hung up straight away. Then I tried calling back by adding 141 before the number. The recorded message came on saying they couldn’t take my call right now but I could leave my details for a callback. I ended the call there and then.
