I got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon saying they'd take £760 from my bank account. They told me to go onto a certain website, but I didn’t. After the call, I reached out to my bank and also reported it to Action Fraud.

Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC, said there was a court order out for me. The bloke sounded really posh. They wanted me to press 1, but I didn’t fall for it. Definitely a dodgy call.

I’ve had this number ring me twice just this morning. Don’t even think about pressing 1 - just hang up straight away. I’ve blocked it on my phone now, no more chances for them.

Just like everyone else, I got this recorded message in English saying something like "We have been trying to reach you. This is an important message from HMRC..." and I ended the call straight away.

Got a call from HMRC saying I’m about to be arrested. They told me to press 1 to talk to the officer handling my case. The voice sounded just like those BT scam calls too. Proper dodgy.

About half an hour ago, I got a call from 02033898750. Since we’re close to Penzance, I reckon these scammers are now focusing on Cornwall. They were talking about arresting us and said we could speak to a case officer by pressing 1... don’t do it! I’m a Chartered Accountant and can assure you that HMRC would never ring you like that, no matter how real it sounds.

My mum, who’s quite hard of hearing, got a call from someone saying there was a court order against her. Luckily, she didn’t catch most of what they said because of her deafness - probably saved her a lot of worry. Sounds like a scam to me!

got a call like the others, this bloke with a posh english accent was saying i got an arrest warrant out for me. weird thing is, it was all a recorded message, so no idea how they even got my name. total scam for sure.

Earlier today I got a call from a number looking very much like this one, so I decided to ignore it. Then I noticed someone nearby had reported it just about an hour ago, which just made me relieved I didn’t pick up.

My mother-in-law, who’s quite elderly and has a heart problem, just got this call from a bloke using this number. He was all aggressive, telling her she was in serious trouble and she needed to press 1 on her phone. She didn't really understand much else before she hung up straight away and gave me a ring, clearly shaken. I tried phoning the number back to have a go at them, but it turned out to be some sort of robotic American voice asking me to leave a message. Don’t know who these people are, but something about it feels off, so I’m flagging it as dodgy.

got the same call like someone else mentioned before. it’s one of those automated calls claiming to be from hmrc. they said something like "we’re calling to let you know hmrc has started legal action and there’s a warrant out for your arrest. press 1 right now to talk to your case officer. cheers". the tech definitely exists to block these but it looks like there’s no real effort or funding being put in place to handle it.

I just got the identical call, this time the bloke had this posh sort of English accent, way too serious if you ask me. He kept banging on with the usual nonsense about a warrant for my arrest, said it was from Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, said the full name like it was meant to sound really official - no abbreviations or anything, maybe to scare you more. Then he told me to press 1 to speak to my case officer. Absolute rubbish, as always.

Just got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC, saying they'd take me to court and send a warrant for my arrest over unpaid taxes. They told me to press 1 to talk to my 'case officer'. Don’t fall for it! I knew it was a con, but it’s scary to think some folks might believe it. Who knows what their endgame is! I used BT’s call blocking by dialling 1572 and did what it said to block the number.

I'm aware of this HMRC con. I received a pre-recorded message stating that HMRC had filed a lawsuit against me and even claimed there was an arrest warrant out. It prompted me to press 1 to connect with a police officer. I chose to ignore it.
