Got two calls on Friday from different numbers, both had some pre-recorded message about a lawsuit against me, asking me to press 1. Now it's Monday morning and still no proper letter or anything. If there really was a lawsuit, shouldn’t they send something official in writing first rather than doing these annoying calls?

Somebody rang up saying they were with HMRC and that they were coming to take our house away. Felt really shaken by it.

Got a call from 0203388987, another one of those tax scam calls. They claimed inland revenue was chasing me over unpaid taxes. I'm 73 and haven’t been employed for over a decade, so it was an obvious trick.
