Someone with an Asian accent and pretty poor English called me. When I asked where they got my phone number from, they just hung up. Sounds like a scam to me.

Got a call from a guy, sounded Asian, telling me my Sky maintenance deal had run out. I humoured him for a bit until he started asking if there was any trouble with our Sky gear. I told him the real issue was we don't have Sky at all! After that, he turned quite rude.

about 2 years back i got trapped by these lot. then they rang me again last year, i told them straight they are a scam faking sky. this morning, they called once more saying i owe another year’s payment for a 2 year deal i supposedly signed last year. who only pays for one year on a 2 year contract? it’s ridiculous. he also tried to convince me my tv was covered by their insurance, honestly, he was pushing it way too hard!

Got a phone call from someone named "Steve Evans" claiming I’ve got a maintenance deal with Sky, which is completely untrue since I’m not even a Sky customer. I pretended to go along for a minute, but when he asked what I pay monthly, I said "One million pounds". Right after that, he snapped back with "Go fuck yourself!" I just had enough time to say, "Well, good day to you and screw you very much!" before he slammed the phone down.

Got a call from some guy claiming to be with Sky, trying to get me to renew my TV service. I told him I don’t even have Sky and he must have dialled the wrong number to try and pull a fast one. Then he starts calling me all sorts of names and tells me to get off the bloody phone. Proper cheeky!

My dad got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC saying he had unpaid taxes and that the West Midlands police would arrest him if he didn’t pay up. Thankfully, he’s registered in France and was suspicious straight away. When he started asking questions, they just ended the call and haven’t answered any of his calls since. I’ve already reported it!

Got a call from this number? Better contact the police immediately as it’s a scam. They’ll promise you money for PPI claims, send a cheque, then ask you to transfer cash back to them in India. Don’t fall for it!

Watch out, this is one of those PPI scams. They'll tell you that you're owed a cheque for more than a grand, but first you have to cough up £100. The names David French and Alex Murphy keep coming up with this one. Never hand over your bank info to these people.

This is definitely a fraud, stay clear of buying UKASH vouchers! If you hand over the PIN, it’s like handing over your money to them directly. Make sure you report it to the cops through http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/report_fraud. Don’t fall for this scam!
