On the 16th of July, a message came through around 1.09pm, and then another one the following day, the 17th July, at about 9.40am. Both were claiming that there’s a legal case and arrest warrant against me, telling me to get in touch with a "case worker" on their number. I'm disabled and it really shook me up, but my ex-wife, who also helps look after me, said to just ignore the calls and not answer. She said she would check up on the number herself. Honestly, these things should be stopped. There are loads of elderly and vulnerable people out there who’ve got no support, and this kind of scam just causes unnecessary worry and can be really bad for your health.

I've been getting calls like everyone else saying there's a warrant out for me or something similar. The number's definitely from the UK, so it looks like these scammers are using a local service to pull this off. Why isn't this stopped straight away? I've reported it to OFCOM ages ago, but nothing's changed. Honestly, OFCOM is about as useful as a chocolate fireguard when it comes to keeping us safe. They should shut these scammers down and bring in a proper agency that actually takes action.

Seems like this number is faked using some laptop out there, pretending to be from the UK. It’s just the usual trick. They use some clever software that tricks the UK phone system into showing their number as local. Complete scammers trying to scare you into handing over your bank info. Best thing is to block it and don’t answer or reply to them at all.
