I received a rather intriguing phone call from a woman of Asian descent, who had quite a pronounced accent. She inquired if I was Mr. xx, and to uncover the purpose of her call, I amusingly played along, claiming to be him-even though I clearly wasn’t. To my surprise, she recited my address and postcode accurately, which was rather unsettling. Then she asked me which age group I belonged to, and I answered honestly, stating I was over 75. She went on to insist that I couldn’t possibly be that age because my voice sounded around 40! Before I could respond, she abruptly cut the conversation short. Quite a peculiar encounter, indeed!

I received a call from someone who proceeded to ask me a few basic questions. I firmly declined and inquired about how they obtained my number. Immediately, they disconnected the call. As someone with a disability, it's quite bothersome to receive such calls; I usually only answer when it's a friend reaching out, not a nuisance looking to waste my time.

Jotted down this number after I got a call from a chap named "James" on Thursday, the 23rd of July. When I politely pointed out that I was registered with the Telephone Preference Service and really shouldn’t be receiving such unsolicited calls, "James" adamantly pressed me to partake in his survey. He threatened that if I refused, someone else from his firm would ring me back! I stood my ground, as it felt rather menacing to be pressured in my own space. After I pushed back for a good minute, he retorted that I was simply wasting his precious time before slamming down the phone! The outfit is called "WAY OF LIFE." Since then, I've had further calls from the same number on Saturday the 25th, another from "Kevin" on Monday the 27th, and yet another yesterday, Tuesday the 28th. Some calls end without a word from the other side. Now I’m bracing myself for yet another one today! 😞
