I tried calling again using a withheld number and told him I needed to get confirmation from my bank. He asked what I needed to check, then told me to call back so they could personally deliver the cheque. Then he insisted I send a moneygram or postal order for £350 (plus a 9.9% fee) before the collector came to pick it up. Honestly, don’t be fooled by this trick - it’s a proper scam.
