Like most folks, I wouldn't bother picking up any 020 number. They all sound like scams, cold calling firms, or just annoying telemarketers. Blocking them doesn't help much either since they just swap a number and ring again!

I'm properly fed up with these lot ringing me all the time. They come up with different lines every time, like doing market surveys, checking on energy providers, and my personal least favourite "we're ringing about your recent car crash". To me, it's all just one massive scam.

They rang me and I thought better of picking up. The TPS is useless, honestly. When they do start 'investigating', the first thing they do is pass your info to the company that annoyed you in the first place. Seems like a recipe for trouble, if you ask me.

I dont pick up calls from numbers I dont recognise, even if it is something important they will leave a voicemail or reach out another way. I just block the number. Never ring back because some of these could be tricks to make you pay for calling them back. Lately, it feels like they’re using 0800 numbers or local landlines to make it seem like someone familiar is calling. Our number isn’t listed but they still manage to get through ??
