I received a rather alarming automated phone call claiming to be from HMRC. The message contained vague threats of legal repercussions but didn’t specify any details about the supposed issue. It was insistent on the urgency of the matter, insisting I contact them back immediately. Strangely, they didn't share any personal details or names-just an ominous request for me to ring them. Quite unsettling, really!

Greetings! I recently received a phone call from this number, which left me an automated message indicating it was important, supposedly regarding a solicitor. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to catch the number, so I decided to use the 1471 service. Upon calling back, I was informed that it was HMRC. They accused me of attempting to defraud the government concerning tax matters and threatened me with legal action, including summons and criminal proceedings, all in the name of HMRC. After I hung up, they rang me again, insisting that if I didn’t return the call within five minutes, a warrant would be issued against me!

Got a call from some automated voice, a woman sayin I shouldn’t ignore it and she gave me a number. I couldn’t catch it properly, so I rang 1471 to find out who called me. The number showed up when I did that. Then someone picked up and said their name was Michael Foster. He said I owed like £5295 in unpaid tax and that HMRC had court cases against me for dodgy payments from 2002 to 2012. That really set me off ‘cause I was working for a company back then, so I couldn’t figure how any of that could be true. Got me suspicious straight away.

Twice today I've been getting scary automated calls supposedly from the HMRC's Legal Dept, telling me to ring back straight away. It was really unsettling. My son phoned them back to see what was going on, but sounds like it was a call centre somewhere in India, as it was hard to catch what they were saying. When he challenged them, they started swearing and used awful language. Proper shocking behaviour. I just hope they get what’s coming to them!

Got two calls from these supposed HM TAX collectors saying if I didn’t get in touch, they’d start legal action to get the money. The funny thing is they didn’t even know my full name or where I live! Such a clueless bunch, couldn’t even talk properly but claimed they were from HM Revenue. Honestly, what a load of muppets. Hope they never bother me again, I’d love to see them try! Ha ha ha!
