Said they were from Global universities but wouldn’t share any address or postcode. Ended the call when I told them I was going to report it. Why aren’t the cops cracking down on these scammers? Someone should get MPs involved!

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT’s tech support. I told her I doubted she was from a real company and she asked if I thought BT wasn’t legitimate. I asked for her contact number, and she gave me 020 3129 6807. I stayed on the call while I looked up the number, but when I told her it didn’t show as BT, she’d already hung up.

We get calls from these people claiming to be BT pretty much every day. They can be really rude and if you hang up, they just call right back and start arguing, telling me I have to listen or follow their instructions on the computer. They don’t get very far with me though. I’m absolutely fed up with them phoning all the time, someone really needs to sort this out. Thanks.

Got a call today, 8th Sep 2016 from a bloke named John Marshall, sounded like he had a thick Asian accent. Said he was from BT Technical Support. Felt pretty dodgy to me. Asked him for a number to ring BT back and he gave me 02031296807, which when I checked out led me right to this website. He was really pushy and tried hard to sound legit.

Received a call at 13:50 on 12th July 2016. The individual on the other end pretended to be from BT’s Technical Department, informing me that my internet would be suspended for two months due to local issues needing repair. I had no prior knowledge of this, so I asked for a callback number to delve deeper into the matter. I remained calm throughout the conversation, and they provided the number 0203 129 6807. However, after doing a bit of digging online, I found a multitude of alerts about this very number. It’s undoubtedly a con; they’re attempting to swindle you out of your hard-earned cash. This number has rung me a couple of times within a day, and each time I got really suspicious and just ended the call. They kept repeating the same spiel other people have mentioned before. When I asked for a name, they said things like "agnes taylor” and “eric parker” - which sounded fishy, especially with their strong Indian accents! Don’t listen to what they say, just drop the call. I checked with the actual company, and they confirmed it was nothing to do with them.

Absolutely dreadful bunch of fraudsters masquerading as BT! I spent more than an hour on the line, only for them to ask for remote access to my computer. They claimed my Microsoft licence was due for renewal at a mere £16, but then attempted to siphon off over £300 to someone residing in the Philippines. Please, take heed and stay vigilant!

This number called me pretending to be BT tech support, saying my broadband would be disconnected because my computer was messing with their main server. I was unwell and still grieving my grandma’s recent death, needing the internet to sort her affairs. When I asked them to prove their identity, they already had all my BT details and passwords, claimed calls were recorded, and meanwhile emptied my bank account. They’ve kept bothering me since then. I’ve got no money left for this month.

i'm pretty sure this is a dodgy number. got a call today (28/3/16) from someone claiming my internet would be cut off the next day (surprise surprise, they said they were from "windows technical support"). the guy sounded like a man from south or south-east asia, talking really fast and businesslike. i told him i'd let my "it manager" know so he could ring back. asked for a number and he gave this one. obviously i haven’t called back, sounds like a scam to me.
