9 yearsI got a ring from a guy named Alan, sounded Asian, saying he was from BT Tech support (although I’m not even with BT). He told me there was some problem with my internet because apparently my IP address got hacked and someone else was using it at like 4 in the morning. He warned that if it wasn’t fixed quick, they’d have to cut off my connection. Then he gave me this worker ID and said I could call a London number (the one above) to verify him and track his details. To shut him up, I said I’d do that. When I asked how to reach him again if needed, he told me to call the same number and they’d patch me through to him. Seriously, who falls for that?AlanBT Technical SupportBTLondon10 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be with United Bank of Switzerland, trying to pitch me an MS bond with a return above 6%. They asked for my email, which sounded a bit dodgy to me.
