Got a few texts from this number and it really spooked me at first, worrying I’d messed up somehow without realising. Glad I looked it up on here though - turns out it’s a scam. If they were serious, they’d probably already have your email or home address and sent something that way. Feeling a lot more at ease now!

Received a call today from 0203 129 5034. The caller claimed to be from HMRC and warned me of urgent legal trouble if I didn’t ring back. The caller ID was blocked, but an automated message gave the number anyway. They were really pushy and threatening. This isn’t the first time either - apparently they rang me once before this week. After looking into it, I’m relieved to find out it was just a scam, but for a good 30 minutes I was genuinely scared. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences here, it helped me stay calm.

On 17th July 24, this number rang my brother a couple of times, leaving a message about some solicitor and legal matters pending. I told him it’s definitely a scam because any legit caller would give complete and clear info. They really ought to be banned from frightening elderly folks like that.

Last week, for the first time, I got a call from this number which went straight to my voicemail. A woman’s voice said not to ignore the call because there were legal actions being taken against me. That was it though, no further info or who they were. If it was legit, I reckon they would’ve left some proper details or a name instead of just a vague warning.

Got a call twice now, once yesterday and again today, from an automated woman claiming to be from HMRC. She said there was an urgent legal issue that needed sorting out ASAP. I had my phone in my hand when it started buzzing and on the screen, it showed INTERNATIONAL then the number 02031295034, then INTERNATIONAL again with the same number repeated! If you think about ringing them back, be warned it probably redirects you to some INTERNATIONAL line and could end up costing you a fortune! Best just to give it a miss or you'll regret it!

My mum, who’s a pensioner and recently widowed, keeps getting calls from this number. They’re telling her she might face legal action from HMRC if she doesn’t get back to them. I rang this number and some bloke picked up who was really rude and curt. He started asking me about my solicitor, saying there was some legal case against me. When I said I couldn’t afford a lawyer, he just insisted I could and then hung up on me. This has to be a proper scam and honestly needs to be shut down. I rang the number and someone picked up claiming to be from the Inland Revenue. When I asked who it was, he just laughed and joked that it was Barack Obama. I told him that was pretty unbelievable, and accused him of being a lying muppet like Donald Trump instead. After that, he just ended the call.

Some bloke called William Smith rang me, sounded like he was from India or Pakistan or something. Just a heads up, never trust those calls saying they're from the Inland Revenue.
