I recently received a call from someone claiming to be from British Gas, attempting to get me to verify a change in my tariff. I strongly advise you to keep all your information tightly under wraps and not disclose anything!

Just yesterday, a chap named Ali claimed to be with British Gas, trying to persuade me to renew a business contract that I don't even have. I told him straight that he was nothing but a con artist and ought to feel quite embarrassed! Fast forward to today, and lo and behold, Ali is now representing E.ON, still pushing for that non-existent contract renewal. When I requested some specifics about the supposed contract, he couldn't provide most of the details. After accusing him of engaging in a dodgy scheme, he had the nerve to say I was wasting his time! I was quite miffed when he hung up, as I had a fair bit more to say to him.

Got a call on my landline from this number on 10th April 2021 at around 5.09 pm, but there was no voicemail left. After checking this site, I’m guessing it’s probably some sort of scam or just a bothersome telemarketer.

I've been inundated with calls from a bloke named Alli who claims to represent Eon gas and electric. It's been absolutely relentless-he rings me around 10 to 30 times each day! I've made it quite clear that I want him to cease these calls and even warned him that I’d lodge a complaint. Yet, the calls persist, and it’s completely disrupting my business line. This has been dragging on for weeks now, and it's honestly quite distressing for me.

this call said it was from british gas but the person had an asian accent and messed up the postcode when i asked. definitely did not sound legit, pretty sure it’s a scam.

If you happen to receive a call from someone impersonating your energy provider, just act as if you're all about being carbon neutral. Trust me, you’ll likely get quite the earful, and they'll probably demand to have a word with your "manager" or chief of staff or whatever fancy title they come up with!
