On the 6th of October at about 9:53 in the morning, I got an automated call from this number. A male voice said someone had bought an iPhone 11 Pro using our Amazon account. 02031 296467. Got a call from an Asian woman claiming to be from VISA security, saying my card was charged £600 for a charity donation in China. I wasn’t exactly polite back.

Some bloke said he was calling about my washing machine insurance, said it needed renewing and asked if it was still working alright. I told him it usually renews itself and asked why things had changed, plus if he was from Domestic and General. Then he just hung up on me. Got a call like that a week ago too. The number he called from was 02051 829758.

I received a call from this number, which has an area code. The caller claimed to be representing Carphone Warehouse and started chatting about some tempting offers on an iPhone ### for £###.### a month, as well as a Samsung Galaxy S### for only £###.###. They even asked for my name, but I informed them I'd verify this with Carphone Warehouse next week before proceeding. I made sure to record the conversation, just in case.

I received a dodgy voicemail claiming that suspicious sums had been extracted from my bank account. It instructed me to press one if I agreed or two for further details. I decided to disconnect the call instead.

Got a call claiming my washing machine warranty was up and they could renew it for me. Thing is, I’ve never even insured my washing machine before, so it’s clearly a con. Really concerned about older folks getting caught out and losing cash on this rubbish.

Got a call from Jacob at Microsoft (02031425339), saying there was something wrong with my Windows PC. When I asked him how he even knew I had Windows, he just hung up on me.

About 6 minutes ago I got a call from 02031 487855, I picked up but there was silence on the other end. I was waiting for a call so I tried ringing them back but they just hung up straight away. I usually get calls like this after dealing with some Government office (DPW). Feels like their systems might have been compromised or something.

Got a call today, 6.5.21, saying my washing machine’s warranty had run out (it’s only been 6 months). The woman on the phone sounded quite posh, not like the typical callers who always say their names are David or Julie. When I asked what details she had about the stuff I’d supposedly insured, she couldn’t answer and then asked for my sort code and bank account number. I told her I’d have to be mad to hand over that info on a call. Then, suddenly, the line just went dead!

Got a ring from 02031 114844 in the middle of the afternoon, supposedly Sarah from Windows Online Support. When I mentioned my work sorts out all my IT help, they cut off straight away. They just started with "Good morning ma'am, how are you today?" without telling me anything about data protection or asking to verify my info. Honestly, when was the last time anyone in the UK called you 'Ma’am' or 'Sir' like that? Felt proper old-fashioned, like something out of a vintage show.

I’ve been receiving calls from this number frequently, yet they never leave a voicemail. It leads me to conclude that they’re either just wasting my time or the matter isn’t pressing at all, given that they haven’t deemed it important enough to drop a message.

Got a call from 02031511106 but I just let it go to voicemail. The message was some robot saying I was wanted for unpaid tax and if I didn’t get back to them, they'd send a warrant for my arrest. They even said to press ‘1’ to talk to the case officer. Totally a scam, don’t fall for it!

Received a rather alarming phone call from an unknown number that felt quite menacing.

Received a call from 02031### earlier. My missus picked up and then handed me my phone, mentioning she suspected it might be dodgy. The only bit I caught was something about potential arrest. I lost my temper and ended the call. Clearly a scam!
