Then she asked for my bank info, which made me suspicious. I just got another call and told her to buzz off. Definitely a SCAM, no way am I falling for it!

Got a call from the UK lottery number 02045253538 offering 10 free lines for just 5p from Dec to Feb. They already knew my name and address. I gave them my sort code and account number but didn’t give out my pin. They said I’d get a welcome pack soon with tickets and a direct debit form to sign. The bloke sounded legit and I could hear other people chatting about it in the background. Are these lot a scam? What harm can they do without my 3-digit pin? Cheers for any advice!

Got a call claiming to be from the Lotto, offering extra lines for the Lotto and Euromillions draws. They said they’re trying to boost interest since fewer people are playing because of the pandemic. It was meant to cost £12 a week and they asked for my bank details and DOB. They already knew my name and address. The bloke said his name was Eddie Jones, like the England Rugby coach! Feels like a total scam to me.

Got a call from 1st World Lotto, seemed to be from South Africa but used a London number. They mentioned Shelf Ltd Co with a head office at 71/75 Shelton Street, London - some formation company address. The director’s name showed up as Cameron Whitley, but they’re apparently fronted by some Saddam Khan? Total con if you ask me.

Yesterday I got called twice from 0208 154 2593, and they said they’d send me ten lottery tickets. They asked if I’d ever won a big prize, I said no, and they just wished me luck with the tickets. Odd thing is, they already knew my first name, my street and even my postcode, but I never gave them any of that info. If they ring again, I’ll be prepared, but I just want to warn others not to share anything. How on earth did they get hold of my mobile number?

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the lottery, asking how long I'd been playing. I said since the very start. They replied that's great and said I'd be getting five lucky dip tickets for this Wednesday through the post. I asked if there was a catch, and they said no. Well, I’ll wait and see what happens. They’re not getting any cash or personal info from me though.

Today, I got a call from a man named Mr Robert Bell on my mobile. He said he was calling from the lottery and was offering extra rows of numbers for half the usual cost, about £54 a month. It involved loads of numbers. He only asked for my bank sort code and account number to set up a direct debit, but never requested my full card number or the 3-digit security code. He also gave me a customer service number to ring anytime, which was 02038680477. The number he called me from was 01134871859. Just thought I’d share. Cheers, Chris Montague.

I got a ring from 02038370525 today, someone talking about 10 lottery lines to get people to play again after the price went up and they changed numbers. They asked if I played before - I do, but not that often. Didn’t ask for any personal info, said the tickets would arrive by post (I never told 'em my address). They even asked if I’d ever won and what I’d spend the money on if I did. Call ended there, now just waiting on those 10 tickets in the post lol.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Lotto Direct. The bloke’s accent was so thick it was nearly impossible to understand what he was saying. I looked up Lotto Direct online and loads of others have been called too, pushed to give their bank details for some prize they supposedly won but didn’t even enter. This number has been ringin me non-stop for weeks, never leaves a voicemail either. I blocked one and now they’re ringing from a different one, like I wouldn’t notice! So I’ve blocked that one too. When they asked for my bank info, I told them I don’t share that with strangers, especially on an unexpected call. Today, 8/8/19, i got a call from 02033184486 from someone calling themself Marc Luize. He also gave me the number 01518080437 and told me id won a prize and that he had my info from a Tesco competition. I’ve already told my bank about this cos it sounds like a scam.

0203 318 4865 kept ringing me non stop. I eventually answered and called back but the person on the other end seemed really dodgy and unprofessional, not like a proper business at all. They claimed I’d won 10 million euros in this week’s EuroMillions draw. When I said I don’t actually play EuroMillions, they didn’t like that answer at all, muttered something in what sounded like a foreign language (probably swearing), and then just cut me off. Very suspicious call!

Lottodirect keeps ringing me like 15 times daily. I finally picked up and they told me I’d won some cash. I said fine, tell them to bring a cheque to my house then. The lady said they’re too busy for that and asked for my bank details. I just said no thanks, don’t want the money, just give it to charity. She sounded proper annoyed. If they ring you, just tell them you don’t want your prize. They called from 02033182478.

I wasn’t called by this number but by 02038086932 instead. It’s from the same company, "lotto direct". They rang me three times, so eventually I called back from a blocked number. The bloke claimed I’d won something and said he had all my info. I asked him for my birthday, and when I told him, he got it wrong, then he messed up again with another guess. No idea where they got my details from but it’s really irritating!

For a whole week they kept ringing me on three separate numbers. Eventually I got sick of it and picked up, asked them to stop calling me, but then about an hour later a different number from the same company called me again.

The lotto number 020 3936 2265 keeps popping up, ive ignored and declined it like 3 times today alone. Its been like this most days this week too. I reckon its either some scam or just telemarketers since i’ve never bought a lotto ticket or anything.

This number called me like 7 times within 2 hours. When I finally picked up, some Asian woman asked if I was Kim. I asked who was calling and she said something about a 150 lottery. I told her I’ve had enough of her constant calls and I’m not interested, plus I think you lot are just scammers. She didn’t like that and just hung up on me.

Lotto Direct keeps ringing me non-stop, like 12 times in just 3 hours while I was trying to study for my GCSEs. I called them back and it said to press 1 if I didn’t want any more calls, so I did, but they still buzzed me again half an hour after! It’s so annoying.

Lotto Direct kept ringing me. I never pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise or aren’t saved in my contacts. This one kept calling, sometimes with slight changes to the last four digits. When I tried calling back, it showed up as "Lotto Direct". Honestly, it’s getting really annoying and I’m blocking every number they use. So far, there’s been at least four different ones. It’d be good to find out where they even got my number from!!

Got a call from ‭020 3966 4630‬ claiming I’d won free EuroMillions plays after entering a prize draw for shopping vouchers, which seemed legit at first. Then I got a bit wary when the caller’s accent suddenly shifted from English to Indian for a moment. They told me the first week is free, but after that, I’d have to pay £39 a month by direct debit. At one point, they asked if I had pen and paper ready to jot down their company info, and that’s when I just ended the call.

Just got a call from lotto direct, they were asking for someone called Michelle (not me tho). There was a lot of noise in the background. When I told them I wasnt Michelle and asked what the call was for, they just ended the call. The number they used was 02039664833.

Got a call from 0203 868 9465, some Asian woman from Lotto Direct. She was so impolite and kept talking over me, wouldn’t let me get a word in. I tried explaining nicely that I’m on benefits and couldn’t afford £39 a month on a lottery. She kept saying loads of people on benefits do it and kept pestering me why I refused. Properly pushy and refused to accept my no. Would love to report her to someone, she was just awful.

Loads of calls from this number but missed them each time. Decided to ring them back and got a message claiming it was from Lottery Direct, but when someone answered, they called themselves 777 Lottery Direct. They said I’d supposedly entered a competition to win an iPhone X and said I’d got two entries into their lottery. Kept pushing this “discounted syndicate” deal too. They seemed to already know my email, then asked for my birthdate and even my address, which I gave them wrong on purpose.

At first, she mentioned she'd send me an email, but then she started questioning which bank branch I use. I told her I wanted an email first to make sure this was legit. She offered to send a link to their website with the terms and conditions, but I pointed out that just sending a link doesn’t prove anything. Anyone could do that, it doesn’t confirm if what she’s saying is true. Realising I wouldn’t share any bank info, she gave up and said her farewells. If they can’t prove it properly, it’s obviously a scam.

Got a call this evening and asked to speak to me but my partner answered instead. The caller acted like he was talking to me and was really pushing a guaranteed lottery win, promising money back if I didn’t win. Luckily my partner recognised it was a scam and said they worked for Camelot, then they ended the call pretty quickly!

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming to be Kelly from 777 Lotto Direct. She told me I’d won 10 lines of some competition and, daft as I was, I ended up giving her my bank info even though there's barely anything in my account. I also gave my email and address, so they basically have all my personal info now. Then she passed me over to her manager who double-checked my details by asking me to confirm if they were right, and I foolishly said yes. He mentioned that £39 would be taken from my bank at the end of the month, but if I didn’t win, I’d supposedly get a refund.

Not sure if it was the best idea, but I rang them back and tried to get them to remove me from their list. An automated message came on and asked me to press 1 to opt out of their calls. I did that, fingers crossed they stop bugging me now. I’ll update here later to see if it actually worked x

This number kept ringing me several times. When I returned the call, a woman with an Indian accent asked for my name and email. I refused to give my email and asked why they were calling. She replied that she couldn’t explain unless I provided my email. I just told her to never mind and ended the call. If they were genuine and had a valid reason, they’d be upfront about it. This woman with an Indian accent kept telling me I’d won some chocolate vouchers. When I asked where she was calling from, she claimed she couldn’t share that info because of GDPR. I then pointed out that if GDPR is so important, why was she calling me out of the blue? She insisted they don’t do cold calls, but I told her that’s exactly what this was. She tried to push sending me an email, but I just ended up blocking her number and told her to buzz off.
