Absolute scam artists. Got a call from them claiming I was due money over a car crash that never happened. I played along for about 15 minutes, telling them I was hurt and a couple of mates with me ended up in hospital. When they wanted info about the car, I just said, “Not sure, I nicked it.” Then they just cut me off.

Got a call from this number a minute ago, they claimed my insurance company reached out to them about some accident where another car bumped into the back of mine. Got a call from a woman with a foreign accent who said her name was Shirley and claimed to be from some motor accident investigation team. She tried telling me I’d been in a crash, but it was obvious a scam. They ring from those Digital Mail London numbers, total phishing scam. She pretended to be ringing from Manchester but was definitely calling from South Africa again. Like many here, I’m still bombarded with these annoying calls from abroad. Blocking one number doesn’t help because they just switch to another 020 3000 number. Honestly, the best thing is to contact Digital Mail directly on 020 7060 2000 if you want to stop these pest calls from scammers based in South Africa.

The whole scam is about picking out easy targets who’ll fall for their lies. They’re con artists and once they latch onto someone, they’ll try to get personal info or credit card/bank details. After that, they either steal your identity or drain your account. Clearly, you were exactly the kind of person they wanted to scam and take your money.

My business is taking a hit because of this, but these scammers seem free to keep ringing without facing any consequences? It's beyond me why they haven't passed a law stopping firms like Digital Mail from faking UK landline numbers to fool people into thinking the call is local. I came across notes.dmclub[###]/1094 that explains how to spoof dmClub numbers (which is just a brand under Digital Mail Ltd) from any part of the world on any phone number. It's just not right.

Got a call from some accident claim call centre on this number, they phoned again later with the same weird background noise both times. They said I’d been in an accident that supposedly my insurance already knew about. When I told them that wasn’t true, they tried saying I was involved in a relative’s claim.
