This bloke called me offering some bargain from Carphone Warehouse. I told him I'd just sorted out a contract and wasn't planning to switch again, which he seemed fine with. Honestly, I only picked up cos I was expecting a call from a different company's customer service and didn’t have their number saved.

Got a call from this number claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse with some amazing offer. They tried to sell me a deal that sounded too good to be true, so I went along with it. But then they asked for my bank debit card details, which I wasn’t comfortable giving. I told them I could provide my credit card info instead, but they said no. That’s when I realised it was definitely a scam.

I picked up the phone and all I could hear was a weird cat meow coming through the speaker! Gave them a sharp whistle back and that seemed to do the trick.

The line was awful, loads of background noise and I struggled to get what they were saying because of the accent. From what I caught, it sounded like they'd charge £25 every month. I told them I wasn’t keen and ended the call.

So, I called back pretending I was the Queen, just for a laugh. It was hilarious how the person on the other end didn't catch on at all! Thought it would be a quick joke, but it actually went on for a bit longer than I expected. Definitely made my day more interesting.
