Got a robotic call about some credit card payment for a US gambling site, which is hilarious since I don’t even have a credit card, let alone use those betting sites. The automated voice told me to press 1 if I wanted to cancel, so I thought, might as well see what happens if I try cancelling something I’ve never signed up for! Pushed 1, but it just kept looping the same message. Looks like their scam team is swamped and no actual scammer is free to pick up. Classic!

Got a call from a guy called Alex, seemed quite polite and clear. I ended up letting him talk for ages cause I didn’t want to cut him off, bit of a softy. He was going on about unlocking equity in your house to cover future care home costs. Mentioned something about a £25 voucher as well. Said some ‘legal’ bloke would be in touch tomorrow - yeah, no way I’m picking up then!
