I really wanna know why British Telecom and the Government ain’t doing anything to protect us taxpayers, or at least trace these bloody annoying calls and go after these morons. Got a call from this number just now. When I picked up, the answerphone kicked in but all I heard was beeping, so it seems like they just hang up on purpose. Makes me think they might be using some sort of random dialling since we’re ex-directory. We’re registered with TPS but that doesn’t seem to block international calls, unless that’s different now.

If you ring them back, it turns out they’re actually a marketing outfit called https://filitastica.com/solar-qas-and-tcs/ based in the Philippines - so realistically, the chances of them getting nailed for breaking UK rules like TPS are pretty much nil.

I didnt answer the call but did a quick reverse lookup and found out this number is a VOIP one (Voice over Internet Protocol), which basically means it’s generated online from anywhere globally and is often used by scam centres, commonly from India, tryna make you believe they’re calling you from the UK. These numbers usually dont last long, mainly cos scammers use them, and if you try ringing back, they often won’t be active to pick up.

He wanted to know the age of my windows and doors and said someone would get back to me for a quick 30 minute assessment.
