Twice now I've had calls from this number, and another one really similar ending in 994. The first time, it was a recorded message with a bad accent talking about some Windows and insulation grants. The second call was from a lady who sounded quite clear, saying she was from a company dealing with doors and windows, offering some kind of grant application. Turns out this 'grant' doesn’t even exist, and the call either came from far away or was spoofed from about 300 miles off. Definitely a scam. I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call y’day when I’d totally forgotten to turn my answerphone on. They claimed they knew I owned the place and wanted to chat about my windows and doors. I told ’em straight up I don’t own the house, I’m not in charge of any windows or doors, and to stop wasting my time. I’m signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, so if they was legit, they wouldn’t be cold-calling me trying to sell stuff. These folks are definitely scammers, no doubt about it.

BEWARE, this is a total SCAM! Loads of people have been tricked out of serious cash recently, especially this September. These dodgy scams are getting worse, so don’t ever share your personal info or bank details. If you get a suspicious call, message, or letter, report it to Action Fraud straight away.
