On 02/06/17 at around 6.22pm, I got a call from a bloke with a thick Indian accent. He was asking about someone who used to live here but passed away about 9 years ago. When I asked if I was family, he just said he worked for ‘choice to save’. I wanted to know where they were calling from, and he said Manchester but wouldn’t tell me exactly where, like it was some secret or summat. I ended the call after that.

Everyday this guy with an Indian accent keeps callin and askin stuff. We never pick up, just let him keep ringin. But seriously, he won't stop and keeps callin again and again. Someone really needs to do sumthin about these calls.

Got a call once from this bloke called Wesley with a proper Indian accent. He said he wasn’t trying to sell anything, just wanted my opinion or something. I told him straight up that I never asked for the call and then said goodbye. Dunno if he caught what I said though, coz he just kept blabbering from his script while I was speaking. Such a pain!

Got a call from a guy with a foreign accent asking me to verify my postcode and age bracket. I said no, and he quickly hung up. Pretty sure it was some scammer trying to gather info for identity fraud.

Had a call from someone with a really heavy accent, asked me to verify my postcode and address right away. Then they started asking if I was working or retired and other personal stuff. I told them I don’t share personal info. Next, they started accusing me of wasting their time and even asked if I was actually wasting it. I said yeah, that’s true. Then they warned me I’d be getting loads of calls and when I asked if that was meant as a threat, they said yes. Pretty unsettling to say the least.

I received a rather frustrating call where the chap was probing into my employment status, asking whether I was enjoying retirement or still working. He also inquired about the accuracy of my postcode, which I thought was rather odd. To top it off, his grasp of English was quite poor, making the conversation quite baffling. These sorts of calls are a real pest; they add to the hassle of my day. Whenever the phone rings, I make a point to answer it, just in case it’s something crucial, but often it means I have to dash downstairs or get out of my seat, which is rather inconvenient!

I’ve had enough of these annoying callers. Last week, one of them called and actually mentioned my name and where I live, saying they wanted my thoughts on something. I gave my opinion and then hung up. As soon as I put the phone down, they rang straight back. I told them to buzz off and hung up again. But no, they called right back and started giving my husband a hard time - even threatening him! It was mental. When we told them we’d call the police, they just laughed and said go ahead, there’s no way to trace their number. Ridiculous!
