Got a call from a ‘number unavailable’, following up from before, asking for our address because the post code apparently sent their driver to the wrong spot in a new housing estate. We said no thanks. When I looked up the caller, the number showed as 0203322305. The person on the line said they were from Amazon wanting to confirm our address. We refused to give details, and they just said, "the parcel will be sent back. Have a nice day!" Seems like a dodgy spoof using that number, if you ask me.

It was a legit call from Amazon. The delivery guy couldn’t locate my flat. Don’t get thrown off by the area code, it’s just where the call centre person was dialing from since drivers don’t always get the phone numbers. Apparently it was from Amazo. When the delivery arrived, they asked for my date of birth. I’ve never been asked this for any Amazon deliveries before, so I didn’t want to give it. Then the driver’s “office” called me and said if I didn’t give my DOB, they couldn’t leave the parcel. I told them I’d never had to do this before. I’ve got a pretty rare surname - like only 10 people worldwide have it. I confirmed I was the right person but still wouldn’t give my DOB. In the end, no parcel was delivered. What a right load of rubbish.

I made a big purchase on Amazon, quite pricey actually. Not long after, this number rang me up asking if I had just made an order for a certain amount. I said no, told them it wasn’t in dollars, and then they quickly corrected it to pounds. I was still a bit iffy, so I asked where they were calling from, what exactly I ordered, delivery address and how many items. It all seemed to check out. The person on the other end didn’t ask for any personal details, which was good. I did tell them they should probably say they’re from Amazon right at the start before jumping into questions though!

THIS IS LEGIT, NOT A RIP-OFF. I missed the call and got worried after reading comments here saying it was a scam! BUT IT’S REALLY NOT. I hadn’t made any orders on Amazon so I assumed it was a dodgy call. Then, about 5 mins later, someone knocked on my door and it was a bloke delivering my laptop from Amazon! I actually bought it through eBay, but the seller also sells on Amazon so that’s why the delivery came from there. I thought it would take a few days but it showed up in less than 24 hours!

Saw the number and had no clue who it was, so I looked it up here before calling. Rang it back but only got a busy signal. Looks like I’ll be sorting out my parcel myself now.

Honestly, this is hands down one of the most useless Amazon delivery guys I’ve dealt with in the UK. He barely even tries and should’ve been fired ages ago. All he does is ring your phone once or twice and then just drops the call. Then he goes and lies to the Head Office saying he tried to deliver, which is a total load of rubbish because he didn’t even bother. Honestly, you’re gonna have no luck with this sneaky bloke.

It was Amazon giving me a ring, saying they were trying to drop off a parcel at the rear of my place.

I got a call from an Amazon delivery guy saying he had my package ready. The confusion about callers claiming to be from Amazon probably comes from delivery drivers using their handheld devices to ring, which means the call actually comes through Amazon’s main helpline number, the same one used by Customer Services.
