Getting a call from an unknown number doesn’t mean you’ll automatically get scammed if you answer. Just use some basic common sense, it’s not that hard. Most of those calls saying they’re from Amazon are just scams. But not all of them, mind you. What I’d say is keep control of the conversation and don’t agree to anything or give out info. Just ask them why they’re ringing and what they want. Only reply properly if you’re sure it’s a legit call.

Can’t quite tell if this was a legit call or a scam after reading some of these comments. Didn’t pick up and they didn’t leave a voicemail. Thought about reporting it on the police ‘action fraud’ site where you can add dodgy numbers to their phishing list. But maybe I shouldn’t since it could actually be genuine. I’ll wait and see if they ring again. Better safe than sorry with these sort of calls. I’m just waiting on an Amazon delivery right now.

Got a voicemail from someone saying they were from Amazon, saying they were trying to refund me £8.99 for music unlimited and needed my pin. Checked with Amazon live chat and they said it’s a scam since Amazon never phones asking for info like that. I did have music unlimited and £8.99 was charged that day though. Ive cancelled it now just to be safe.

I rang the number thinking it was Amazon, but the person on the other end just said it was Amazon and then quickly ended the call. I tried calling back, and it happened again. So, I’m left wondering - is this actually a legitimate Amazon number? And if it is, why did they just hang up like that?

I kept getting calls from them saying they wanted to help homeowners cut down on their electric bills. Thing is, I rent my place, so none of that applies to me. Plus, I’m registered on the Do Not Call list, so I really shouldn’t be getting these calls in the first place. Quite annoying!

I got at least 20 calls from this one and a few other numbers linked to it. It’s one of those phishing scams. They try to get you to ring them back, and if you do, they start charging you loads of money!! Best thing to do is just block them straight away!

I got a call from this number saying it was Amazon Fresh delivery. Seems some folks labeled it spam but maybe they’re just being narrow minded or prejudiced.
