Got a call from 01846 842855 on the 26th of Sept. A woman with an Indian accent on a really bad connection said she was from BT Openreach about some problem with my phone line, and told me to press 1. Funny enough, I’d just been sorting something with the genuine Openreach, so I ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone saying they were Amazon yesterday, 13th Jan 2020, about 8.30am. They rang again today, mentioning Amazon Prime (which I’m not even signed up for) and told me to press 1 to cancel. Seems dodgy to me, hope others aren’t being caught out by this scam. The number they used was 0184690224.

This 01846504151 number called me twice early mornings at around 8am, pretending to be from BT. The caller had an impolite tone and sounded Asian. The number is actually Irish, so it’s definitely not connected to BT!

Some idiot rang me from this std code claiming to be from BT, threatening to cut my broadband off. Turns out if you press 1 to speak to an "engineer," they start charging you a fortune per minute. Don’t fall for it, they’re just scammers trying to rip you off with these PREMIUM RATE numbers. The std code’s from Ireland, so watch out. Just hang up and don’t get mugged off.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming to be from the telephone preference service. They kept pushing for loads of personal details like my address and direct debit info, so I just ended the call.
