01383663720 Tried calling, saying they were from Bright Energy. I’ve got solar panels and told them to get lost since I didn’t ask for this call. They said they had info from the energy company. This is just wrong, these scammers ought not to have access to private details like that. It’s got to be stopped.

018336 883555 - Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who said her name was Jenny and claims to be from Virgin Media. She said there was an issue with my internet and started asking about how many computers are using the connection at my address. I told her I wasn’t convinced she was really with Virgin and asked for some proof before carrying on. I told her to email me and then ended the call. This was the second call like this in just a few minutes but from a different number, and both said they were from Virgin Media.

Got a call from 01836 592988 with an automated voice saying it was Visa Debit Mastercard and that £600 was just taken from my account. They told me to press one if I wanted to cancel the payment. Sounds like a total scam to me. I’ve blocked the number so they cant call again.

Got a call from 01836470632 to my mum, claiming their card was used fraudulently and to press 1 to cancel it. Bit sketchy if you ask me.

Someone said they were from Visa. They told me there was a £300 transaction from Western Union in California and asked for my card details to stop it. I just ended the call. Number was 01836 660989.

01836 calling again - this is a BT scam number that's been around for ages. The number 07836 is linked to Vodafone mobiles and is a premium rate line, so they can be tracked even though they’re on the move. Don’t bother calling back or answering, no matter how much you want to tell them off. These people are desperate and will go to great lengths. I’m just a regular person whose elderly mum was worn out by them, and I’m trying to put a stop to this. So beware BT scammers, I’m getting closer to shutting you down!

Loads of different numbers have been ringing me nonstop for the last couple of days, all automated messages telling me my internet will be cut off if I don’t press 1. It’s really annoying. I’ve set up call safe to filter them out, which helps, but you still need to answer the phone in case it’s actually something important.
