Just had a call from a bloke recently released from jail, honestly seems quite risky to deal with.

As soon as I picked up, the call got cut off! Reading through all the other comments, looks like it's just another scam.

This number is definitely dodgy, make sure you block it!

I received a rather unwelcome phone call the other day; the moment I picked up, the person on the other end just stayed mum.

I’m with O2 and I know for sure this is a fraud attempt. The scammers want you to click on the “reset password” link so they can get into your “My O2 account” and steal your personal info. The message even warns you to “NEVER share this code, not even with O2 employees.” Please be careful and don’t fall for it.

Someone called claiming to be from O2 and said they had some special offers for me. Felt a bit fishy to be honest.

They just cut me off mid-call.

Someone called saying they were from 02 and asked to connect me to their discount team. I didn’t trust it, so I just hung up and blocked the number straight away.

I got a call claiming my number had been chosen for an exclusive deal from 02, and they said they'd send me a security code by text - which they did. But I ended the call before they could explain more. The first text warned me about potential scams and told me to ring 202 if I thought I’d been targeted. The second message contained the passcode and advised not to share it with anyone. It’s quite clear this is a scam, as calling 202 probably just connects you straight back to the scammers.

They've rung me three times already and hang up as soon as I pick up. It's really beginning to get on my nerves!

I've had calls from numbers like 01822300018, 01822300023 and 01822300025, all acting like they're from o2, which is super frustrating. I wouldn't trust them enough to make any kind of deal. Seems like they're desperate to catch me before my o2 contract runs out - definitely feels like a scam.

Got a call claiming to be from O2, saying they had special discounts available. Sounded a bit dodgy to me, like a scam trying to get info or something. Definitely not convincing, just be careful if you get a call like that!

Got a call from some bloke about 15 minutes back. He had an Indian accent and his English was pretty rough. Said he was from my phone company but couldn’t even name which one it was. I ended the call, but then he rang me right away from a number that looked almost the same. This time he was quite pushy 'cause I wasn’t having any of it. Honestly, best thing is to just ignore and hang up!

So I got a call from a lady who was pretty pushy, kept trying to get me to pay attention. She mentioned Virgin Media right away, but I told her I wasn't interested. Then she claimed it was about my account, I still said no thanks. Decided to ring the number back and got a voicemail saying “Welcome to Premier Energy and Gas” or something like that. Bit odd if you ask me.

I got a call from someone saying they were Virgin and could help lower my phone bill, but they didn’t actually have any of my info on hand? Bit strange if you ask me.

Got a call showing Tavistock on the ID. A woman spoke with a thick Indian accent and claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse, mentioned some deals or offers. The line was really poor and crackly, so I kept saying I couldn’t hear her, asking “Hello?” a few times, then she just hung up. Pretty sure it was a scam. Best to ignore and I blocked the number straight after.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with O2. They didn’t ask for personal details, just for a code they sent in a text from O2. Definitely a scam, so watch out!

Got a call on my phone from someone saying they were Virgin Media, but they didn’t seem to have a clue about any of my info. Bit odd really.

The caller claimed to be from O2, but it’s definitely a scam. When I checked the number, loads of people mentioned it was linked to insurance fraud.

I had this nagging feeling that someone might have been aware of the car crash I was involved in a few years back.

Received a call that displayed Tavistock as the origin. There was a woman on the other end, her Indian accent quite pronounced, claiming to represent Carphone Warehouse and discussing some 'offers'. The line was rather fuzzy and unreliable, which raised my suspicions about it being a scam. I pretended I couldn't hear her, saying "Hello?" a few times before I decided to end the conversation. Immediately blocked the number afterwards. Best to steer clear of this one. It felt more like an international call than a local one from Tavistock!

Avoid these con artists at all costs! They’re targeting individuals who have recently been involved in car accidents. These fraudsters pose as an insurance help service, claiming they can aid in securing compensation for your claims. It's nothing but a ruse to exploit vulnerable victims!

Didn’t pick up since my phone flagged the number as possibly being a scam. Pretty clever, really.

Got a call from a local Isle of Wight number. Didn’t pick up because I didn’t know who it was. When I rang back, it went straight to voicemail, saying nobody was there to take the call. The background noise made it sound like an empty building with a weird echo.

Yesterday, I got a call from this number claiming there’d been a car crash involving me - which definitely wasn’t true. I mentioned the foreign ringtone and told her she should’ve just hung up since answering was going to cost me. She was quite sharp back, saying I shouldn’t have picked up in the first place. Like I can just ignore every call in case it’s a useless telemarketer like her! I got annoyed and ended the call. Then, this morning, the same number rang again, probably just to get on my nerves, but luckily I’ve since blocked them.

The caller kept saying i was entitled to some compensation, but i kept telling them my car has never been in a crash and it’s never been damaged. They just wouldn’t listen at all. I’ve heard of others getting calls like this before, but never from this specific number. My insurance provider has never contacted me about any accident, cos nothing like that has ever happened.
