Got a recorded call warning me id be taken to court and my national insurance number might get frozen if i didnt press 1 to talk to their "investigators." That’s total rubbish, you cant even freeze your NI number. Ive worked with the courts before, so i recognised this straight away as a scam.

Got a robo call warning me not to ignore it or I’d face magistrates court! Since I’m in law enforcement I knew straight away it was a scam, but I reckon lots of people might fall for it. They tell you to press a number to talk to someone and sort it out, but don’t press anything, it’s a total con.

Some bloke with an Indian accent rang up claiming he was from Carphone Warehouse, but the call quality was awful. When he asked how my day was going, I shot back with, "It was alright until you rang!" and he just cut me off! So yeah, still clueless about what deal they were trying to sell.

I received a call from the same number, 01260 44027, just moments after I missed a previous call from what I suspect is the same outfit. I didn’t pick up, but by the looks of it, based on other people's remarks, it seems they're up to no good. Several folks are mentioning that they're masquerading as O2. Definitely fishy!

I no longer use O2, but it appears there's a dodgy character rifling through their records. According to O2’s official site, they categorically state that they NEVER request a one-time passcode or any personal details. Let’s hope no one is taken in by this.
