I got a rather dubious call from what appeared to be a bogus accident claims company. The chap on the other end was droning on about a car accident that, quite frankly, never happened. His accent was distinctly Indian and rather unconvincing. It was blatantly obvious he was a scammer trying to fish for my banking information. Just to be clear, I've had no involvement in the so-called incident he was rambling about.

Got a call where the line was really noisy, loads of people chatting in the background. The person on the phone had a thick Asian accent and was talking super quickly. I told him to say it again but then said I’m not with O2 at all and ended the call. Just saw another missed call from the same number, really glad I didn’t answer it!

I got a call from this really pushy and loud salesman who was trying to sell me some government discount for my business phone line. He was so loud I had to move the phone away from my ear. When I asked a few questions, he clearly didn’t like it and kept pestering me. He refused to send any details over email, which was a bit suspicious. After the third call, I just ended it. Proper annoying!

I got a call from an Indian call centre saying they were from O2, trying to lower my O2 mobile charges. Thing is, I’m not even an O2 customer. The person on the phone kinda let on it was just a cold call from an autodialler, just ringing loads of numbers hoping to catch their own clients by chance.

Loads of folk get really annoyed with these calls, but honestly, if you pay attention to what they’re offering, it can be a proper good way to cut down on your phone costs. They handle everything on your behalf and it’s pretty hassle-free. So if you get another call like this, maybe stop for a minute, listen properly, and keep an open mind before hanging up. You might find it worth your time.

I had a call from someone claiming they could lower my phone bill, and I decided to go along with it. Turns out, I ended up with a new phone free of charge, chopping off about £10 from my monthly costs, and getting better value overall. They followed through exactly as promised. I’m quite pleased with how it went. Not sure why there’s so much bad feedback - maybe people should be open to these calls before dismissing them.
